January 27-28, 2014
SIT continued to hang out in the swamp with the goal of
heading further south along the Gulf coast on Wednesday. We were finishing up
on the storage shed project so John and Mary Ann would have some additional
digs for things.
We had a rude awakening Tuesday morning well it was actually
forecasted, but we woke up to the frozen swamp. Who would have thought it would
only be a high of 28 and freezing rain and sleet falling during the night so
you woke up to the white stuff! Needless to say, we didn’t get away on
Wednesday since we had to wait for the roads to thaw and the roads to reopen.
Not quite enough to play in

The cold didn’t deter all of us to finish the task at hand
though. We pulled line, finished wiring the storage shed, and John buried the trench.
It was worth it even though it would have been warmer working outside back in
Meridian!

The Warming Fire YAY!
Izzy didn’t seem to mind the cold, and Smokey and Lily hung
outside too. Well, I think Lily’s motivation was John having Floppy time with
the girls. I think they would play floppy 24 hours a day if they could, well
Lily would for sure!

SIT said good-bye to everybody and headed down the road on
Thursday for a bit further south in Florida. You know what that means – yap,
fishing, golfing, and Izzy swimming! Stay tuned!
